Dear Friend:

Once a year, Chautauqua Adult Day Services, a private not for profit organization, looks to friends, families, and the community for support of its Senior Day Programs. Individuals and groups have an opportunity to make a difference for families who cannot afford the full cost of a much needed service. All contributions go directly to the agency “Scholarship Fund” which helps frail older adults receive a valuable service that enables them to remain at home. In addition, caregivers can get a break from taking care of a loved one or are able to remain employed.

The agency has four Senior Day Programs that serve all of Chautauqua County and is in its twenty-seventh year of operation. One of its sites, the Present Center, is a day program specifically for older adults who are suffering with Alzheimer’s Disease. The agency programs are located in Jamestown, Dunkirk and Westfield.

Every year the number of older adults needing Adult Day Care increases. In 2010, the agency provided 16,183 days of service for 165 individuals and families. This number continues to grow and your support is appreciated.
