Grant Provides Program Furniture for Dunkirk Senior Day Program
December 2013 – Thanks to a generous grant from the Northern Chautauqua Community Foundation, participants at Chautauqua Adult Day Care’s Dunkirk Center location can now enjoy the comfort and safety of new furniture. Funding was obtained recently to purchase new furniture that not only provides comfort for the participants, but also provides the greater community with furnishings that are physically attractive for families and the general public who visit the program.
Frank Bercik, Executive Director, states, “We are fortunate to have the support of the Northern Chautauqua Community Foundation for this particular initiative. Their generous grant allowed us to purchase safe and comfortable chairs and tables for our participants. We also project in 2014, that over 50 frail older adults will be utilizing our program on a daily basis. This new heavy duty furniture will last for many years to come.”
