Holiday Season Celebrations

December 2013 – The Taft and Present Centers’ at Chautauqua Adult Day Care recently celebrated the Holiday Season with their annual Christmas  Party, held at the Taft WR22BIGCenter Location, on Lakeview Ave.  Darrah Hall, decorated with a brightly lit Christmas tree and holiday ornaments, was the perfect setting for this Santa Claus themed event.

Musical entertainment was provided by Ken Hardley, who sang and played his guitar for the participants.  Those anxious to get on the dance floor, danced to all the holiday favorites.   As the party began,  Mr. Hardley played the traditional   “Here Comes  Santa Claus” song, giving way to  Santa and Mrs. Claus  making their grand appearance.

Santa and Mrs. Claus gifted all the participants presents and were available for pictures; those  who wanted  a photo  with Santa  had the opportunity to have a picture taken.  Staff was able to print the pictures as a holiday keepsake for the participants.

The Holiday event was well attended,  with caregivers and friends, as well as some  of the children  and  grandchildren  in attendance.   The faces  of both young  and old,  sitting  next to Santa Claus,  was priceless.
