Washington Middle School Students Visit Taft Center
December 2013 – Participants at Chautauqua Adult Day Care’s Taft Center location received a big surprise this past week. Over 120 fifth graders from Washington Middle School visited the center’s Lakeview Avenue location to entertain clients with a Christmas Carol Sing and sounds of the season!
Patricia Lefford, WMS Fifth Grade Teacher states, “It was our pleasure to entertain the participants of Chautauqua Adult Day Care Center during the holiday season. Our students also used this opportunity to practice fluency and new vocabulary. Everyone had a wonderful time.”
Melinda Rojas, Taft Center Program Coordinator, adds, “What a joy it was for our participants to listen to Christmas carols sung by the fifth graders from Washington Middle School. It certainly made their day. We appreciate the teachers and students taking time out of their busy schedules to bring the sounds of the season to the participants in our Taft Center program.”
